We never stop learning! New experiences and challenges often elicit new awareness, desires, and questions. We offer a variety of opportunities to support our unique faith journeys. Follow Me
Each year during Lent adult parishioners gather weekly in small groups to reflect together and grow in faith. Most groups focus on reflection on the coming Sunday Scripture readings. Sometimes other books or resources of common interest are selected for the focus. Gatherings are held in people’s homes or at the church hall. Some groups choose to continue to meet regularly throughout the year.
Women’s Book Group
This gathering of women takes place on Wednesday mornings from 9:45 to 11:00. Various books and topics are selected according to the interests of participants.
(An 8 week fall series will begin Wednesday, September 16. Featured book: The Naked Now; Learning to See as the Mystics See by Richard Rohr.)
Catholics Coming Home
This program is for any adults who would like to consider a deeper understanding of the Church. We have six sessions on elements of our Catholic Faith with opportunities for conversation and sharing. These sessions will help us explore our spirituality, who is Jesus, what we think of the Holy Spirit, how we can find forgiveness, how Mass may engage us more and what we think of the Church.
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
RCIA
The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is a journey - a journey one makes together with the Catholic community in search of God. The RCIA presents non-Catholics with an in-depth study of our faith with no obligation to be baptized. These sessions are open to all who are curious about Catholicism. There is no obligation to enter into the Church.
- Evening sessions meet regularly during the year to explore the meaning of our faith and to help individuals discern their call.
- The Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA) is the process for anyone who wants to become a member of the Catholic faith community.
- These sessions are for persons who would like to be baptized, who have been previously baptized in another Christian faith or who were baptized Catholic but not raised in the faith.
